A guide on how to change a diaper for a baby

Changing diapers for your baby is essential because, in the early years of life, a baby's skin is extremely sensitive. Therefore, mothers need to perform gentle and caring actions when changing diapers. Here is a guide on how to change diapers for your baby correctly and effectively.

For Tape Diapers

Step 1: Wash your hands thoroughly and prepare necessary items, including a freshly opened tape diaper with the adhesive tabs on both sides. Additionally, place a new diaper or a clean changing pad under the old diaper to ensure that waste doesn't spread around.

Step 2: Remove and handle the soiled diaper Gently lift your baby's bottom to pull the old diaper out without spreading waste around. Roll the used tape diaper into a bundle and keep it out of your baby's reach.

Step 3: Clean your baby's skin thoroughly and dry it before putting on a new diaper.

Step 4: Put on a new tape diaper for your baby When putting on a new diaper, make sure to stretch the back waistband and the leg cuffs on both sides to ensure a comfortable fit for your baby. Next, lift your baby's legs towards their belly, creating a space under their bottom. Place your hand on the diaper's leak guard and pull it horizontally across your baby's waist, covering their entire bottom. After properly adjusting the diaper's fit for your baby, you can unfasten the adhesive tabs on both sides of the diaper, being careful not to fasten them too tightly to avoid discomfort for your baby.

Step 5: After changing the diaper, check to ensure it's correctly fastened and that your baby has free range of movement.

For Pull-Up Diapers

When you want to change to pull-up diapers for your baby, follow these four steps:

Step 1: Remove the old diaper and clean your baby To remove the old diaper, simply tear the sides, clean your baby's buttocks, groin area, and genitals before putting on a new diaper.

Step 2: Put on a new pull-up diaper Before putting on a pull-up diaper, slightly stretch the waistband to ensure your baby's diaper fits snugly. Then, insert one leg at a time into the leg openings and gently pull up the diaper while carefully adjusting the front, back, and both sides to ensure a secure fit.

Step 3: After putting on the pull-up diaper, ensure that the leak guards are inside the diaper and the leg cuffs are outside to provide comfort for your baby.

Step 4: Dispose of the used diaper by rolling it up and placing it in the trash. It's essential to check the diaper for proper fit after changing to ensure it's not too tight, causing discomfort for your baby during movement.

Note: Whether using tape diapers or pull-up diapers, it's important to check the leak guards to ensure that urine doesn't leak outside the diaper. The instructions provided here are intended to help you change diapers correctly and quickly. You can refer to them to ensure better care for your precious little one!
